What you need
Three things: a Victory Protocol account, Google Chrome, and a Tradovate account you can sign into in that browser. The guard reads the Tradovate page you already have open. It does not connect to your broker, it holds no credentials of yours, and it cannot place, change or cancel an order.
Installing the guard
Install it from the link on your dashboard, then open your Tradovate chart. There is nothing to copy and nothing to paste. The guard reads your operator token from your signed-in Victory Protocol session the first time it runs. If you are signed out, sign in at victoryprotocol.academy in the same browser and reload the Tradovate tab.
The popup says NOT CONNECTED
It could not find your Victory Protocol session, so it does not know whose limits to enforce. Sign in at victoryprotocol.academy in the same Chrome profile, then reload your Tradovate tab. If it still says NOT CONNECTED after that, you are probably signed in under a different Chrome profile than the one running the extension. The popup shows this state deliberately: a guard that does not know who you are is not guarding anything, and it will never pretend otherwise.
The popup says NOT READING
The guard is connected but has not had a fresh reading in over thirty seconds. Almost always this means the Tradovate tab has been in the background for a while and Chrome has slowed its timers down. Bring the Tradovate tab to the front and it recovers immediately. If you keep the chart in a background tab while a position is open, ask us about the browser policy that turns that throttle off.
It blocked me, and I need to close a position
Closing is never blocked. The block covers new entries only. The moment you have a position on, the overlay stops intercepting clicks and every button underneath it works normally, including flatten and close. If you need to dismiss the block to place an entry anyway, the button on it does that and records it. Nothing is hidden from you and nothing is done behind your back.
The indicators are a separate install
The chart indicators and the risk guard are two different things. The guard is the extension from the Chrome Web Store. The indicators are installed separately from your dashboard, because they write chart code into Tradovate and store rules do not allow that in a store extension. If your levels are missing but the guard is running, it is the indicator install you need.

Both Challenges carry a full refund inside fourteen days, no questions asked. For a refund, a billing question, or anything this page does not answer, write to support@victoryprotocol.academy and a person will answer within one business day. Tell us your account email and, if it is about the guard, what the popup says.
